SAP Concur is shuffling leadership and combining two key
divisions. Jim Lucier will take the reins as Concur president on July 1,
replacing Mike Eberhard, who is retiring. An 11-year veteran of Concur, Lucier
currently serves as chief revenue officer and chief service officer.
Concur has named Christal Bemont chief revenue officer. She
will report to Eberhard for the next three months and then to Lucier. Bemont
has worked for Concur for the past 15 years, most recently as general manager and
SVP of its small and midsize businesses unit.
Barry Padgett, former president of the SAP Ariba procurement
platform and the SAP Fieldglass workforce management system, has taken on a
larger role as president of SAP Intelligent Spend Management, comprised of
Ariba, Fieldglass and Concur.
Eberhard joined Concur in 2003, holding a number of global
sales and business development positions before becoming
president in October 2016. After his retirement, Eberhard will continue to
serve as an advisor to Concur.
Concur also has combined its product and technology teams
into one group led by chief technology officer Michael Weingartner, according
to a Concur spokesperson. The unit oversees the company's T&E software, travel
management company relationships and tech initiatives like the Concur App
Center and the Concur Labs innovation incubator.
The reorganization led to the departure of former Concur
chief product officer Tim MacDonald in March, the company spokesperson said.
Concur also has launched a development center in Shanghai.
The center will develop spend management solutions that are optimized for
China's market requirements, according to Concur.
